Jacob's Barn has been lovingly converted from a centuries old agricultural barn into spacious and luxurious self catering accommodation for up to 10 people. Jacob's Barn is located at the end of a quiet country lane within walking distance of the picturesque village of Nether Stowey and the Quantock Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In an elevated position, the property has extensive views to the Mendip Hills to the North, across the Bristol Channel to Wales and across the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor.
On the ground floor there are three large receptions rooms. There is a well equipped large country-style kitchen full of character with a large central table ideal for family feasts. The sitting room boasts an open log fireplace and plenty of comfy seating for warming your feet after a long days walking on the hills. There is a second lounge, which can be used as a family play room or additional sleeping area. Both lounges have french windows opening out on to the garden. Also located on the ground floor is a toilet and utility room with drying facilities.
On the first floor there are four bedrooms. The master bedroom, with beamed ceiling, has its own en suite bathroom. There is a separate bathroom for other guests. Both have bath and shower facilities. Two bedrooms have double beds, the others have twin beds. All bedrooms have views over fields and the surrounding countryside. A fold-out sofa in the play room provides additional accommodation for two extra people.
The south-facing french windows lead on to a gravelled patio with garden furniture and then up grassed terraces to a large enclosed lawn ideal for football games, sunbathing or just soaking up the tranquil sounds of the countryside. There is a separate hard standing area for sitting out or games.
